We are going to produce a high diversity of crops for local customers with future-proof (including carbon-negative) methods.

Educational Architecture

Our buildings are designed in such a way that you can experience the planetary boundaries through the architecture. Building materials are mainly from sustainable raw materials.

All our machines are electric, using renewable energy - even our electric tractor, co-developed with GEDES e.V.

Decoupling from the Fossil Fuel Economy

The prices of oil and food are closely linked for several reasons::

Direct production and transport costs: Diesel and petrol
Cost of fertilizers and pesticides: many fertilizers, especially nitrogen fertilizers, are produced using a very energy-intensive process (Haber-Bosch process) that uses natural gas or other petroleum products as a raw material. Many pesticides and herbicides are also based on petroleum.

EduFarm will only use electric vehicles and will not use synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
